Lizard Rescue

This little fellow and his mate was trapped in the cellar around the wellhead. One of the Aussies went in to get them. Do any Swan Hillians recognize my company man below.

Nambour County fair

We went to a fair on the weekend. It had a bunch of farm animals, rides & games. Carol won a huge Bart Simpson. I couldn't believe there was no gambling games there. Mark got on this bunji tramp thing. He was getting quite good at it. He was doing double back flips on it. I had a video of him on it but I had the camera sideways. Ryan and Mark on the Round Up
They had a horse jumping event. It was quite good. Some of the jumps were at least 6 feet high.
They had some guy on a motercycle jump this helicopter. My battery on the camera died just as I was going to take that photo
At the end of the show they had a really good firework show and a bunch of bands.

The Bone Chilling Winters

We were on our deck the other day enjoying an evening drink. The temp dropped below 20 and Carol got a chill. She now blames me for her being sick.

The Australian Zoo.......again

Carol, Mark and I went to the Australian Zoo today. Ryan was too tired because he went to an all night movie. He saw all 3 Pirates of the Carribian. The only reason we went to the zoo was to win a bed. We are in need of one. The futon we have is not very comfortable. It wasn't to be. We did not win anything.

Noosa Beach

We decieded to goto a different beach today. We went to Noosa Beach. Its not to bad but there was no surf. Carol says it is because it is a north facing beach. I guess I will have to go with that. Carol got all crazy taking photos. The one here is of me driving. I think it shows why I am such a bad driver.

The other reason I am a bad driver. They all drive on the wrong side of the road.

Front End Loader

I can not think of a more manly thing to do then dig a hole with a big piece of equipment. I would say it is the best part of my job. I have to post these photos to prove that every once in a while I do some sort of work. Can you see the sweat pouring off me.

The Green Desert

I can't believe how green it gets in the desert after it rains. It almost looks like southern Alberta. All this green grass will be dead within a week. This is an old photo I took during the summer. There is nothing around but these cows are good and fat so they must find something to eat.
