Jack Sparrow's Son

Mark's school had a Book Parade where they had to dress up as a character from a book. Since he was reading "Pirates of Carribean" he went as Jack Sparrow. They don't have Halloween here but the Aussies sure do like to dress up (Fancy Dress) for any occasion.

To Coolum and back

Do we have relatives from Australia?
This almost made me physically ill...that is SNOW! We passed a family on the side of the road, we thought maybe there was an injured animal they were trying to help....nope...they were touching the snow...lol. AHHHHH! Coolum. This was the view from our bed.
It was a very long drive. Roy and Mark were both sick and Roy's back was sore. Yes that says 1115 km to go.
I think we must have took a wrong turn somewhere to end up 24 km from Toronto.

WHY!! OH WHY DID WE LEAVE COOLUM!!

That is frost on Roy's ute this morning. It has been very cold here. I've been wearing gloves in the morning when I drive the kids to school. I checked the temperature in Coolum, it was 18 degrees, Harrington Park -0.3 degrees. We're heading to Queensland when the kids are on Winter Break, I think I might just stay!

Australia VS France

Well anouther weekend passes and all we did was go to rugby. We went to a test match between Australia and France.

I know they are no "Golden Oldies" but it was pretty good rugby.

The game was held at ANZ stadium in the Olympic park. This big guy was at the enterance of the olympic grounds.

Bowling

Ever since we moved to Sydney our lives have got boring. I spend all my time either working or watching the kids play rugby. We did manage to find some time to go bowling. This is Ryan showing off his form. He actually got a strike on this one. I also found a feature on the camera that will take a bunch of photos quickly.

Mark and Rugby

Mark played a game today and scored his 1st try. He was pretty proud.
I am not sure what Mark was more proud of.....his try or his shiner. He said to me,"I didn't know pain could feel so good." I think we may be in trouble

He got his shiner during training. He was showing it off all day today.

We are being attacked by mice. My hunting insticts are taking over. We caught 4 in the last week. Both Ryan and I caught one with our hands. We are quick like a cat. We stun them with a towel and then pounce.

Daffodils

Margo 'sent' me some daffodils, that were growing outside her home. My favorite flowers. They were the first flowers Roy ever bought for me. They are in season here, too, Roy! HINT.
