Angry Mom

This is not me, at least I don't think it's suppose to be me. For anyone who has watched the Simpsons you may recall an episode of Angry Dad. Well Mark was inspired to draw Angry Mom.

Why Do I Do My Job

I sometimes wonder why I do this job. It sure isn't for the flies. It's not for the fresh air.
Oh.....now I remember. It's for the excitement. And when thats all done. I get to go home for 2 weeks straight and enjoy some of the imported beer I found............MMMMMMMM..........Beer

Photos from the Opera House

After the opera we had a nice meal and a couple of drinks. I just thought I would show you the view from our table.

Anthony and Karen. This is the couple we went to Sydney and the Opera with.

Carol loved this. On every street in Sydney this is painted on the road. I must admit it is hard not to look left 1st before you cross a road.
The Goldsbrough Apartments. This is where we stayed. The photo was taken from the Sydney tower. It was 250 meters off the ground.
Mark at Bondi beach. We spent an afternoon there. The view was good. The waves were big. Some over 1 meter. The water was cold. A bone chilling 17 derees.
Carol and I at the Opera. We went to The Gondoliers. It is written by Gilbert and Sullivan. It was awesome. We had really great seats as well. The show was a comedy and we all thought it was funny.

More Sydney Photos

Carol loved this baby koala.

Trip to Sydney

We had a great 1st day in Sydney. We started our day by going down to some Aussie morning news show. We met the news people and we listened to a popular Aussie band the Road Traders. We then walked down to the Botanical Gardens . We did a tour of the Government house and the Opera House. The kids had fun playing in the open spaces of the gardens. We saw a street performer and took a ferry back to Darling Harbour where our hotel is.There is a festival there(Darling Harbour). We capped off our night by watching fireworks. All in all it was a pretty full day. We are now getting geared up to go to the Taronga Zoo.

The Mono Rail.
The Brown Family. These are some friends of ours. I work with Anthony at EWS. He is one of the mechanics. We went on this adventure with them.

Us relaxing under a tree at Government House One of the huge trees on the grounds.
This tree was pretty cool. It was at the Botanical Gardens. I bet it was at least 50' across the bottem.
In side the concert hall in the Opera House. The main hall was closed because a group was rehearsing. The pipe organ at the top of the photo has 10,000 pipes.
This nut was doing his street performance outside the ferrys. He picked Ryan as a volenteer.
