I like this photo. It rained enough in 4 days to supply Brisbane with 4 months of water. The dam level went up 2%. The dam level went from 18 to 20%. They need alot more rain.

Drought, What Drought?

This is the grounds at Mark's school. We had 16 inches of rain in the last 24 hours. It started raining late Tuesday afternoon and is suppose to wane off this afternoon (Friday). There are flooded roads and a few school closures. The boys' schools weren't closed but I kept them home anyways. The winds were high the last two days but have died down today. Sadly, the damn catchments only received 4 inches.

Black Hawk

They had a Black Hawk helecopter land at Moomba in the desert the other day. They wouldn't let me fly it. It didn't look that hard. For some reason they wouldn't even take me for a spin.

Lawn Bowling

Roy is anticipating a great shot....whoo hoo. It was a change of pace from all the crazy rides last weekend...and I'm ok with that. They have Barefoot Bowls on Friday nights...it's for people who've never bowled before and want to give it a go. Ryan is bowling the kitty....that's the ball you try to get the other balls close to.
Mark's face is blue from Sports Day at school....you don't paint your face for lawn bowling.
This man helped out us newbies who've never bowled before. I am listening so intently but it didnt help any.

DreamWorld

I can not believe Carol went on the Giant Drop. I took a photo of the description of the ride. There is also some photos of us on the Flow Rider.

Dreamworld and Whitewater World

We went to the Gold Coast for the weekend. Over all it was a pretty good weekend. Went to 2 theme parks. Whitewater World and Dreamworld. We also went to the Casino were I won $50....WOOHOO. Now this is where the story goes down hill. On the way home I hit a dog going 110 kms/hour. Poor dog didn't have a chance. Had to call a cab to pick up Carol and kids and I had to wait for a tow truck. The damage to my car is $2300. So my feelings are hurt in more than I way. We have to rent a car for the next couple of weeks as well. I will post more pics after my 1st aid course. Mark and Ryan getting wet with the big bucket at Whitewater World
The Claw ride(above) It was pretty fun. Even got Carol on it. The Flow Rider(below) was also a lot of fun. It is a boogie board ride. If you wipe out the water pressure shoots you back to the top in a hurry.
